Read below for more about the story:

Plaridel Perlas is beautiful but poor. Her younger brother, Hector, has cancer and desperately needs financial assistance. Plaridel works at a bakery but hears about an opportunity at a KTV lounge/bar in the red-light district paying much more money than her job. Plaridel is hesitant but needs the cash, so she auditions and ends up trafficked. Months go by in captivity, where she dreams of her past life in Nepal as Devi, who was similarly trafficked to India as a young girl. Plaridel escapes the KTV lounge/bar with the help of Raghib Dharmaputra, a former surgeon and ex-yoga practitioner who is also a black-market organ harvester for the syndicate. Plaridel manages to persuade Raghib to set her free and returns with police, only to find the house empty, the bodies of other women primitively gutted inside. The manhunt for Raghib begins.

Nightmares, Sorcery, Mysticism will take you on a wild adventure highlighted by fantasy and horror elements that explore yoga and other forms of Eastern mysticism and ancient esoteric occult practices. Plaridel’s traumatic past life as a trafficked Nepali girl merges with her present incarnation and the lessons learned in both lifetimes. She gets the rare opportunity to ascend the pantheon of beauty pageant winners and good will ambassadors, winning not only because of her beauty but also her intelligence. The story offers a look at resilience, diversity, and compassion for the poor in a unique story graced by persuasive writing and vivid imagery, a sophomore effort by a transcendent writer.
